The Indigenous Women of the Americas – Defenders of Mother Earth Treaty Compact 2015 was first signed on September 27, 2015 in the early afternoon in the East Meadow on Lenape Territory (New York City) of Turtle Island on the day of the fourth Blood Moon of the year, the Harvest full moon and a total lunar eclipse. There were two additional signings in December, 2015 in Paris during COP 21. Ongoing signings are happening throughout the Americas.

Listening to the Waters Speak
We attended the Convening of the Four Winds hosted by the Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma. We gathered together to Defend the Right's Nature and the Sacred System of Life. Isabella Zizi, a signatory on The Treaty speaks about her relationship with the water and how she defends and protects this source of life.
